Hello xxxxx,

As a WGU student, you expect and deserve excellent support from all faculty and staff here at WGU. Our communications with you should always be supportive, respectful, and helpful. I am writing to you today to reaffirm to you this commitment on the part of everyone at WGU who is involved in supporting your success.

I know that you have had some unsatisfying experiences with us and that you are concerned about succeeding in this very challenging degree program. We will do everything that we can to enable your experience from here forward to be as satisfying as possible.

WGU faculty and staff are expected to do everything within their power to support our students. We are trained regularly in skills necessary to provide the most helpful, respectful, and effective instruction, coaching, and support. I want you to know that we will continue to re-train and re-emphasize those values so that no one forgets that you, our student, deserve our best support and respect.

I encourage you to make frequent use of the resources available to you, including course mentors and Joi Stirrup, the Program Manager that will be providing the required regular weekly contacts with you. Her role will be to find out what we can provide to help you to succeed in each course, and to encourage you, as your "coach". I am also available to support you. Please feel free to contact me any time you have questions or issues you would like to bring forward. We will take very seriously our responsibility to support, encourage, respect, and assist you.

Please let me know if I can do anything else to assist you at this time, and I wish you the best of success in finishing up your current course.

Respectfully,

Steve Merrill, MBA
